Overview
This Web Application has been designed to run Online, Offline in a Browser, or as an Android Application on your Android device, Cellphone, or Tablet. Running the Android APP. version on your Android device is the more reliable way to run this Application.
Its function is the generate up to 10 Doubles Tennis Games that are to be played on one Court. The Maxium number of players it can handle for one Court is seven. The maximum number of players in the Pool is eight.
Sets consist of 4 Games. Players are assigned to each game in such a way as to vary each combination as much as possible. Players are assigned to a Left Hand or Right Hand side of the Court. The Players do not have to adhere to that, but if you wish to play that way then in later rounds the player positions are reversed. The reversed assignments are shown in Red.
The winner is determined by the person who has the highest percentage of wins as against the number of games they have played.
You can run it from the Online Web Site, but a better option is to run it Offline, that way you are not dependant on the Internet being available.
Installation for Offline use:
1: Download the zip file.
Note: If done on an Android device you will Download the Android APP., which you can install on your device. If on a PC then follow steps below.
2: Unzip it into a Folder / Directory or you choice. (maybe TennisApp ).
NOTE: I use File Manager + to create Folders and manage my Files.
3: In the Folder you will see another folder named DoublesMatchupSC and in that folder you will see a file named DoublesMatchupSC.html ,Double Click on that file.This will start up the Browser and the Web APP, DoublesMatchupSC. It could then be a good idea to create a Link to it and have it put on your Home Page. This makes execution easier. You can use this on a PC, MAC , Android device or any other device which supports a Browser.
NOTE: Unfortunately with Android the Web Page sometimes get refreshed without your control and you may loose the game. A better way is to Run the Android True Application DoublesMatchupSC. To do this you will have to Install the App. I have supplied a file for the Install. It is named DoublesMatchupSC_apk . This is an Android Package file all ready for Installation. To do the Install, go to the file using File Manager and hold you finger on the file for a few seconds. This will bring up a Menu. Just follow the Prompts. You will be warned that this is Blocked by Play Protect. Click on Install anyway. The Installation will then progress. This App was created by AppsGeyser, from the html file of the same name. This is the best way to use this Aplication Offline. It is then just an Android App. and does not use the Browser.
4: Add players to your Pool. You need at least four players. Once you have assembled your Pool, make sure you Save it. You can then Reload that Saved list at anytime.
You can also Clear the Pool, which just Clears the Screen. It does not Clear your Saved List. You can create a new Pool at anytime and use it. You don't have to Save it to use it. It could be a Temporary List just to use for that occassion.
5: Once you have your Pool of Players set up you can then Appoint them to the Round to be played that day. Just Click on the Checkbox for each player you wish to Appoint to the Round today. If you make a mistake then Click on the Player in that Round and they will be put back in the Pool.
6: After you have Apointed the Players you want the Click on Start Game . As the Games progress enter the Scores after each Game. These will show up against each Set played and also in the Summary showing who is currently in the lead. There is a maximum of 10 sets per Round.
